Misk
On a cold, misty, mysterious night, a still night with an indescribable energy in the air, a metaphorical madman was hatched; a wordsmith born with a menacing magic that manifested itself in late childhood.
Born and raised on Staten Island, Misk was exposed to Graffiti culture which inevitably led to encounters with a beautiful, maddening, mistress called Hip-Hop.
Misk was hooked. He was soon under the influence of the Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Nas, Big Pun, Canibus, and his life hasn’t been the same since.
Misk was intrigued by the drums that accompanied Boom-Bap production, and his pen soon became an extension of his hand. He wrote furiously, crafting his style, and the result of that creation was aggressive, hardcore lyrics with a trace of humor, riddled with clever wordplay and complex metaphors.
This mysterious matrix of metaphors mirroring the mayhem of Mista Misk’s melodic madness caught the eye of the “Crazy Man” himself, Block McCloud.
Insanity insued and Mista Misk was dragged to the Underground where he was initiated and indoctrinated, becoming a full fledged member of the DMG movement.
Misk is set to make a name for himself, plotting with Disturbia Music Group assassins Kromeatose, Just-One, Billy Tha Kid, Fresh Jones and The Society of Invisibles to make the world one big madhouse.
The madness begins with “Rise of the Dead”, set to drop early in 2012, and Album set to drop late in 2012. Don't forget to take your medication!
